2020 Joint Annual Meeting News
June 17 Update
We are all living in unsettled times with tentative and modified schedules. Please know the MWEA and MO-AWWA Boards are closely monitoring the status and trending of the COVID-19 virus. Presently there is no change in the rescheduled conference dates. While the conference is still on schedule, our primary concern is to protect and safeguard the health and safety of our membership, technical presenters, and exhibitors. As the conference date draws closer, updates will be posted online on each organization's websites, social media platforms, and via email. Please feel free to reach out to Mary Odom with any questions or concerns.
March 13 Announcement
MO-AWWA and MWEA are saddened to announce the postponement of the 2020 Joint Annual Meeting in an abundance of caution in response to the global Coronavirus outbreak.
Numerous utilities and companies across Missouri have instituted travel restrictions and we hold the health and well-being of our membership as a primary drivers in this decision. As public health professionals in water and wastewater, we believe it is important to slow the spread of this virus by reducing social contact in this critical time period.
We will be rescheduling the 2020 Joint Annual Meeting for August 22-26, 2020. All the details of this rescheduled conference are being developed. Please be patient as we adjust to the new dates and potential impacts on the venue.
Note: All hotel reservations made through our group block will be cancelled. If you would still like to visit Margaritaville during the dates of the postponed conference, you will need to make a new reservation. Our group rate will not be available until March 25 for the rescheduled dates. Please contact Margaritaville directly at 1-800-826-8272 after March 26 to make new reservations for the rescheduled conference.
